Four faces: the female representations in the myth of Ragnarök
O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar as representações identitárias femininas três deusas e uma giganta – Frigga (a mãe), Nanna (a esposa), Hel (filha de Loki), e Hyrrokkin (e seu lobo) –, como partícipes da dinâmica do evento do deus Balder, encontrado no mito de Ragnarök. O aporte teórico-metodológico que conduzirá essa pesquisa está ancorado na perspectiva da história cultural, partindo de uma investigação sobre as representações referenciadas, no tocante as percepções do universo feminino, da literatura medieval do século X, da Escandinávia da Era Viking, no contexto dos séculos VIII-XI d. C. que compõe o ciclo de crenças de concepção pré-cristã. O procedimento metodológico da pesquisa envolve um estudo descritivo-analítico, conjuntamente com a pesquisa bibliográfica e sistematizadora do tema.

Abstract:
The objective of this study is to analyze the female identities of three goddesses and one giantess - Frigga (the mother), Nanna (the wife), Hel (Loki’s daughter) and Hyrrokkin (and her wolf) - as participants in the dynamics of the event of the god Balder, found in the myth of Ragnarök.The theoretical-methodological contribution that will lead to this research is anchored in the perspective of the cultural history of Religions, starting from an investigation on the referenced representations, regarding the perceptions of the feminine universe, from the medieval literature of the X century, from the Scandinavia of the Viking Age, in the context of the VIII-XI century A.D. that composes the cycle of pre-Christian conceptions of belief. For this reason, it is evident that the work in question is configured as a contributory registry to the Graduate Program in Sciences of Religions - PPGCR and to the Sciences of Religions area. The methodological procedure of the research involves a descriptive-analytical study, together with the bibliographical and systematizing research of the theme.
