FORMAÇÃO INICIAL DE EDUCADORES PARA A EJA: CONTRIBUIÇÕES EM UM CURSO DE PEDAGOGIA
O presente trabalho tem
por objetivo investigar a importância da
formação inicial de profissionais para
atuarem na Educação de Jovens e
Adultos (EJA), buscando-se analisar a
prática da disciplina de EJA, as principais
discussões fomentadas nas aulas com os
alunos e alunas do curso de Pedagogia
da Universidade do Estado do Rio de
Janeiro (UERJ) e as aprendizagens
construídas no decorrer da disciplina.
Para atingir esse objetivo, são trabalhadas
as principais concepções que norteiam o
campo da EJA na atualidade, marcado
pela destituição de direitos e por políticas
efêmeras e descomprometidas com a
realidade dos sujeitos da EJA. Além disso,
são trazidas as impressões e avaliações
dos alunos e das alunas que cursaram
a disciplina. Os principais resultados
apontam importantes aprendizagens
construídas pelos estudantes sobre a
Educação de Jovens e Adultos e as
especificidades desta modalidade.

Abstract:
This study aims to
investigate the importance of the initial
training of professionals to work in the
Education of Young and Adults (EJA),
seeking to analyze the practice of the EJA
discipline, the main discussions promoted
in the classes with the students of the
course of Pedagogy of the University of
the State of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and the
learning built during the course. In order to
achieve this objective, the main concepts
that guide the field of EJA in the present
time, marked by the destitution of rights
and by ephemeral and uncompromising
policies with the reality of the subjects of
the EJA, are worked out. In addition, the
impressions and evaluations of the pupils
who took the course are brought. The
main results point to important student learning about Youth and Adult Education and
the specificities of this modality.
