Abstract: The purpose of the proposed work is to demonstrate, through a report of pedagogical experiences, how to work with different types of textual genres in the classroom and what is the proposal of the "Programa Novo Mais Educação" for schools. Thus, the pedagogical practice of teachers regarding textual genres must be elaborated and analyzed so that the work with students can be developed in a positive way. Therefore, it is necessary to innovate in teaching, developing methods that provide students with means to understand the meaning and sense of each textual genre, as well as the meanings of the words inserted in the text that make up the story and thus constructing meaningful learning.
