Abstract: This study analyzed teacher training for the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), considering the challenges and perspectives for 21st-century education. Its general objective was to understand the obstacles and possibilities related to teacher training in the pedagogical and innovative use of ICTs. The research was conducted through a bibliographic review, using recent and relevant sources on the topic. The results revealed that teachers faced structural, pedagogical, and formative barriers, such as a lack of adequate infrastructure and continuous training. Effective strategies and methodologies were also identified, including practical workshops, active methodologies, and collaborative networks, which contributed to overcoming these challenges. The conclusion highlighted the importance of structured programs and public policies to promote advances in the integration of ICTs in teaching, as well as suggesting future investigations into the application of emerging technologies.
