Abstract: :The objective of this article was to analyze to what extent the processes of continuing education for teachers, focusing on the use and appropriation of Digital Educational Technologies (TDE), promoted by Professora Luzia Tavares Municipal School, are contributing to enable their teachers to critically and autonomously integrate technologies into their pedagogical practice. To achieve this, the study employed action research and literature review methods to examine the contributions of teacher training to the utilization and appropriation of digital technologies in the researched school. The research also adopted a qualitative approach as it best suited the study's context, involving the collection of descriptive data through direct interaction between researchers and the situation under study. This approach emphasized the process over the final product, solely aiming to portray the perspectives of the subjects involved in the research. This study underscores the need to acknowledge the dynamics of relationships within the school from the teachers' viewpoint and actions, supporting them in developing autonomy and proposing training closely aligned with critical use of TDEs, didactic strategies, and the reality and experiences of teachers.
