FLEXIBILIZAÇÃO DA LEGISLAÇÃO TRABALHISTA E DURAÇÃO DE CRISES: uma análise de países selecionados
Trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo que teve como objetivo investigar se há relação entre a flexibilização do mercado de trabalho e a velocidade de recuperação da atividade econômica, assim como a mitigação dos índices de desemprego, após ocorrências de recessões em países selecionados (Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Espanha, Estados Unidos e México). Para a coleta de dados e informações sobre taxas de desemprego, produto interno bruto (PIB) e legislações, antes e pós-reformas laborais, foram selecionados artigos que continham aspectos relacionados aos objetivos da pesquisa e obtidos dados em órgãos como: Fundo Monetário Internacional (FMI) e Banco Mundial. Os resultados apontaram que existem diversos estudos que abordam os impactos principalmente sociais das flexibilizações, no entanto, não os relacionam com outras variáveis econômicas importantes, como o crescimento ou mitigação do produto interno e os níveis de desemprego. Evidenciou-se ainda que somente uma legislação trabalhista mais flexível, isoladamente, não é fator garantidor de mitigação do desemprego e crescimento econômico, sendo necessário considerar outras variáveis e aplicação de medidas complementares a reforma trabalhista.

Abstract:
This is a field study that aimed to investigate whether there is a relationship between the flexibilization of the labor market and the speed of recovery of economic activity, as well as the mitigation of unemployment rates after the occurrence of recessions in selected countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Spain, United States and Mexico). For the collection of data and information on unemployment rates, gross domestic product (GDP) and legislation, before and after labour reforms, articles were selected that contained aspects related to the research objectives and obtained data from bodies such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. The results showed that there are several studies that address the mainly social impacts of flexibilizations, however, they do not relate them to other important economic variables, such as the growth or mitigation of domestic output and unemployment levels. It was also evident that only more flexible labor legislation, in isolation, does not guarantee the mitigation of unemployment and economic growth, and it is necessary to consider other variables and the application of complementary measures to labor reform.
