• Abstract: Free gingival grafting is the most predictable surgical technique for increasing the width of keratinized gingival tissue. The presence of thin gums, prominent roots and gingival recession combined with reduced or absent attached gingiva are indications for gingival enlargement. This graft is commonly fixed using nylon threads. The present study aims to report the use of cyanoacrylate-based adhesive in association with conventional sutures in a clinical case of a patient undergoing free gingival graft surgery aiming to eliminate interference of the labial frenulum in the progression of gingival recession and mainly with the aim of to increase the keratinized tissue band of root coverage of Miller class I gingival recession. The authors chose to combine the two techniques aiming at greater stabilization of the graft during the healing process, which enabled adequate maintenance of periodontal health and consequent clinical success. However, more studies are needed to evaluate the cost-benefit of the association of the two techniques. of synthesis.
