FISIOTERAPIA NAS COMPLICAÇÕES PULMONARES EM PACIENTES PALIATIVOS: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA
Introdução: Sabe-se que os pacientes paliativos, recorrentemente, são acometidos por complicações pulmonares. Diante disso, o fisioterapeuta é peça fundamental no cuidado integral ao paciente, podendo atuar na minimização das repercussões respiratórias. Objetivo: Comprovar a atuação da fisioterapia nas complicações pulmonares nos pacientes em cuidados paliativos, bem como, a contribuição do cuidador. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com coleta de dados realizada nas bases eletrônicas: SCIELO e na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). Utilizando o operador booleano and, foram cruzados os descritores: “doença pulmonar”, “fisioterapia”, “cuidados paliativos”, “fisioterapia respiratória”, “complicações pulmonares” e “cuidador”. Os critérios de inclusão foram: estudos disponíveis na íntegra, publicados nas línguas portuguesa, inglesa ou espanhola e que respeitassem o recorte de tempo 2008-2018. Foram excluídas abordagens que não contemplavam o objetivo da pesquisa, estudos realizados em outros países, bem como, teses, dissertações e monografias. A busca resultou na seleção de 17 artigos. Resultados: Complicações respiratórias são muito comuns em pacientes que cursam em fase paliativa. Para tal, o fisioterapeuta possui recursos e métodos inerentes à sua profissão que são capazes de mitigar os sintomas físicos e manter e/ou otimizar a capacidade respiratória e funcional dos pacientes. Conclusão: Observou-se que o profissional de fisioterapia desempenha fundamental papel na minimização de desconfortos respiratórios. Além disso, ressalta-se a importante cooperação do cuidador, junto ao fisioterapeuta e à equipe multiprofissional na assistência ao enfermo em estado paliativo.

Abstract:
Introduction: It is known that palliative patients are recurrently affected by pulmonary complications. So, the physiotherapist is an essential part in comprehensive patient care, and can act to minimize respiratory repercussions. Objective: To prove the function of physiotherapy in pulmonary complications in patients in palliative care, as well as the contribution of the caregiver. Method: Through an integrative literature review, with data collection performed on the electronic databases: SCIELO and the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Using the Boolean operator and, the descriptors were crossed: "lung disease", "physiotherapy", "palliative care", "respiratory physiotherapy", "pulmonary complications" and "caregiver". The inclusion criteria were: studies available in full, published in Portuguese, English or Spanish and respecting the 2008-2018 time frame. Approaches that did not contemplate the research objective, studies carried out in other countries, as well as theses, dissertations and monographs were excluded. The search results in the selection of 17 articles. Results: Respiratory complications are very common in patients who are in palliative phase. Therefore, the physiotherapist has resources and methods inherent to his profession that are able to mitigate physical symptoms and maintain and optimize the patients breathing and functional capacity. Conclusion: It was observed that the physiotherapist plays a fundamental role in minimizing respiratory discomfort. In addition, an important cooperation of the caregiver is emphasized, together with the physiotherapist and the multidisciplinary team in assisting the patient in a palliative state.
