Abstract: Dysmenorrhea is one of the most frequent complaints in the physiotherapists offices who work in the area of women's health and which negatively impacts quality of life. Generally, because it is considered a normal part of the menstrual cycle, dysmenorrhea is underestimated and treated symptomatically with the use of relief medications. Physiotherapy has therapeutic resources that can act on this discomfort, relieving or preventing symptoms. This chapter aims to present the scientific evidence and the clinical practice of its authors in the physiotherapeutic approach to women with dysmenorrhea. Clinical, epidemiological, etiology, pathophysiology, clinical features, clinical diagnosis, physiotherapeutic evaluation and physiotherapeutic approach to dysmenorrhea will be presented, emphasizing the resolution of dysmenorrhea.
