Abstract: The high school reform, approved by the Ministry of Education in 2017 and gradually implemented from 2022, by combining Physics, Chemistry and Biology into a single area, significantly reduced the workload dedicated to Physics. This measure, although aiming at greater integration of knowledge, directly impacts the quality of teaching this subject. In view of this, this article presents measures that aim to minimize the possible deficit in physics teaching. This work presents two experimental practices in physics teaching that address free fall and uniform circular motion, two different manifestations of acceleration. Acceleration is initially presented to a first-year high school student as a rate of change of velocity; this concept will contrast and cause astonishment when this student studies centripetal acceleration. This work presents the procedures for assembling two educational products that can be perfectly applied by the physics teacher in subjects of the new high school, such as in-depth and elective tracks, since as they are subjects with a greater workload, they are ideal for the development of workshops and experimental projects.
