FICCIONALIZANDO REALIDADES: RELAÇÕES POSSÍVEIS ENTRE HISTÓRIA E LITERATURA EM
O presente artigo, que compõe
parte de dissertação posteriormente defendida
e publicada pela autora, tem como objetivo
colaborar para debates no campo de teoria da
história, entendida aqui como investigação das
condições das possibilidades de existência da
história, tanto numa dimensão empírica quanto
de produção de conhecimento. Procuro, nesse
sentido, contribuir para discussões acerca do
próprio fazer história, a partir da reflexão sobre os
usos da literatura em processos de construção
de identidades, de memórias e de história,
dando enfoque à experiência de mulheres.
Examinando a obra de ficção The Handmaid’s
Tale, da autora canadense Margaret Atwood,
procuro avaliar de que maneira uma escrita
literária ficcional pode configurar também a
escrita de uma história, tanto no âmbito da
trama, para as personagens, quanto no âmbito
real, para autoras e leitoras. Nesse sentido,
investigo as potencialidades da escrita literária
na história e suas possíveis interconexões.

Abstract:
This article, which is part of a
dissertation later presented and by the author,
aims to contribute to debates in the field of theory
of history, here understood as an investigation of
the conditions of the possibilities of existence of
history, both in an empirical dimension and in the
production of knowledge. In this sense, it intends
to contribute to discussions about history itself,
exploring the uses of literature in processes of
creating identity, memory and history, focusing
on the experience of women. Examining the
work of The Handmaid’s Tale, by Canadian
author Margaret Atwood, it assesses how an
example of fictional literary writing can also
constitute the writing of a history, both within the
plot, for the characters, and in the extratextual
context, for authors and readers. In this sense,
it investigates the potential of literary writing in
history and their possible interconnections.
