Abstract: Schools in the Amazon region have a rich culture that can and should be explored in various ways at school, one way is through festivals, a common event in the region. The Folklore Festival is the opportunity for students to get to know their culture better and perceive the beauty of everything that surrounds them, in addition to demonstrating, through dance, theater and music, what is most intimate in the essence of their being. The objective of this work is to report the experience of teachers in the organizational process of a folk festival in a school in the municipality of Alenquer/PA. The objective of the event was to encourage students to learn about their culture, as well as experience different cultural manifestations through dance, theater and music. The Amazonian folklore rescue project was carried out at Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Nova Esperança I, in the municipality of Alenquer/PA, in the month of August, in reference to the commemorative date of Folklore, August 22nd. The school has classes from 1st to 9th grade and Youth and Adult Education – EJA and were divided into 10 presentations between legends and dances, organized by teaching cycles. The festival to rescue Amazonian folklore at the school took place in a cultural night, attended and applauded by public authorities, the school community and society in general at the Ginásio Municipal Octávio Proença de Moraes. It was highly praised by the audience present, who were dazzled by the event's presentations and positively provided a unique experience for everyone involved.
