Abstract: Faced with the increasing soil degradation and the growing need for nutrient replenishment, there is a demand for alternative inputs that aim at both protection and nutrition. This study aims to conduct a preliminary evaluation of the agronomic potential Frass of black soldier fly larve (Hermetia illucens) and biosolid by determining their nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), pH, and electrical conductivity (EC) contents. The materials were collected from different sources and prepared for analysis following standardized procedures for drying, grinding, and sieving. The analyses were conducted in triplicate to ensure result accuracy. The results showed significant differences between the two materials, particularly in K, pH, and EC levels, affecting their agricultural applicability. Frass exhibited a higher K content, while the biosolid showed a more acidic pH, requiring prior correction for use in acidic soils. These findings are crucial for assessing the feasibility of both materials as alternative fertilizers, with Frass being more suitable for potassium-deficient soils and biosolid potentially being used with pH adjustment.
