FERROVIA, IMPRENSA, ESPORTES E SOCIEDADE NAS PRIMEIRAS DÉCADAS DO SÉCULO XX EM PONTA GROSSA – PARANÁ
O presente artigo tem por objetivo pensar o imbricamento entre a ferrovia, a imprensa, o esporte e a sociedade ponta-grossense no final do século XIX e nas primeiras décadas do século XX. A ferrovia, considerada na literatura local como elemento fundamental no desenvolvimento local/regional; a imprensa escrita, como meio de divulgação/comunicação de questões relacionadas à ferrovia, ao esporte e a sociedade que consome/consumia a ferrovia; os esportes e o jornal. O caminho metodológico seguido assentou-se em uma pesquisa bibliográfica, de caráter exploratório, sobre a cidade de Ponta Grossa, sobre o esporte e a imprensa local e pesquisas nos jornais “O Progresso” e “Diário dos Campos”. Como apoio teórico buscou-se as contribuições de Pierre Bourdieu a partir da teoria dos campos, a concepção de habitus e relações de poder. Os resultados apontam a influência da ferrovia e a relevância que a imprensa passou a ter com a ampliação do campo esportivo local/ regional. A pesquisa aponta a necessidade de novos estudos sobre os primeiros anos do esporte local, evidenciando lacunas para se pensar as formas organizacionais e o papel da imprensa na trajetória do campo esportivo em geral.

Abstract:
The objective of this article is to analyze the imbrication between railroad, the press, sport and Pontagrossense society in the late nineteenth century and the first decades of the twentieth century. The railroad, considered in the local literature as a fundamental element in local / regional development; the written press, as a mean of disseminating / communicating issues related to the railway, sports and society that consumes / consumed the railroad, sports and the newspaper. It should be added that this is a research in progress, with notes in the construction process. The methodological path followed was based on a bibliographical research about the city of Ponta Grossa, about sports and the local press and researches in the newspapers "O Progresso" and "Diário dos Campos". As theoretical support was sought the contributions of Pierre Bourdieu from the field theory, the conception of habitats and relations of power. The results indicate to the influence of the railroad and the relevance that the press has to the expansion of the local / regional sports field. The research points out the need for new studies on the early years of local sport, highlighting gaps in thinking about organizational forms and the role of the press in the course of the sports field in general.
