Abstract: The internet, although it gained prominence around 1994, has its origins in the 1960s. Its emergence represents one of the most significant advances in the history of technological development. Along with the expansion of the internet, several digital tools emerged, including applications, programs and software, which revolutionized the way we interact with information and carry out everyday tasks. In this scenario, "open data" plays a crucial role, providing a valuable source of information accessible through these digital tools. In the Brazilian context, platforms such as CECAD, TABCAD and IBAMA stand out, which provide relevant data and information for various purposes. This work aims to gather information about the origin and evolution of these technological tools, as well as public data available on digital platforms. Structured as a bibliographic review, a total of 25 articles were analyzed, aiming to understand the impact and importance of these resources in contemporary society.
