Abstract: Since women gained access to writing, it has become a form of healing and resistance, documenting and confronting oppression and violence. In times when they were silenced, writing provided a safe and discreet space for creative expression, empowering individuals to face the challenges of a patriarchal, racist, and misogynistic society. Literature, often overlooked as a scientific source, offers a glimpse into the beliefs, fears, and hopes of the writer, serving as a relevant means of awareness and empowerment. Thus, this work aims to explore the relationship between literary creation and decolonial feminisms, as well as its role in the processes of emancipation and overcoming, seeking to analyze the importance of literature in the empowerment and social transformation of women, particularly within the context of intersectional oppressions of race and class. The work also intends to discuss the relevance of literature as a catalyst for decolonial feminist practices and its contributions to science. The reflections were developed through a literature review of decolonial feminist academic production and its intersections in the literary field. The conclusion, following the analysis, leads us to recognize the value of literature as a tool for emancipation and overcoming in the feminist struggle and the need for its inclusion in knowledge production.
