• Abstract: Experimental farms play an important role in the agricultural sector, providing a suitable environment for integrating theory and practice. This study focuses on the Iguatemi Experimental Farm (FEI) at the State University of Maringá (UEM), seeking to understand its importance for agricultural science courses. The study aims to identify the FEI's role in academic training and the generation of scientific knowledge. Interviews were conducted and a semi-structured questionnaire was used to understand the work, knowledge and experiences of professionals who worked (and no longer work) at the FEI. As a result, in the analysis of the textual corpus, the FEI is most often related to the zootechnics course, teaching activities, the undergraduate level, and the activities of teachers.
