FATORES ASSOCIADOS AO ABANDONO ESCOLAR DE ESTUDANTES DE CLASSES POPULARES, DO ENSINO BÁSICO, NO BRASIL E PORTUGAL: EM BUSCA DE NOVAS PERSPECTIVAS E CONTRIBUIÇÕES
Este ensaio tem como objetivos apresentar dados e refletir sobre os resultados de pesquisas realizadas no Brasil, Inglaterra, Portugal e outros países, acerca dos fatores associados ao desempenho e abandono escolar de estudantes de classes populares. Resultados esses, que foram obtidos mediante revisão da literatura. O texto discute as consequências deste fenômeno, que ocorre mundialmente, embora em índices diferenciados, mas que repercute negativamente, tanto no âmbito pessoal/individual, quanto no âmbito social. A autora deseja retomar e socializar conhecimentos construídos por pesquisadores nacionais e internacionais, envolvendo a tríade: Família- Educando- Escola. As pesquisas realizadas, que serão aqui mencionadas, tiveram como foco, identificar quais fatores familiares, individuais e escolares estão correlacionados ao desempenho e ao abandono escolar de estudantes de classes populares. (RUMBERGER; LIM, 2008 apud SOARES, et al, 2015); (VASCONCELOS, 2003). Nessa oportunidade, considera-se também pertinente apresentar uma análise comparativa dos dados apontados no Brasil e em Portugal, sobre o fenômeno em pauta. Este ensaio contém informações acerca da identidade da autora, destacando vivências familiares e profissionais, as quais contribuíram para a construção do seu objeto de estudo e ingresso no Doutorado - Programa de Pós-Graduação em Família na Sociedade Contemporânea da Universidade Católica de Salvador. A autora tece comentários acerca da metodologia de pesquisa que considera mais adequada às Ciências Sociais, destacando a importância da abordagem bioecológica do desenvolvimento humano, (BRONFENBRENNER, 1979, 1996 apud KOLLER, 2010) por possibilitar uma investigação sistêmica, capaz de contemplar, simultaneamente, várias dimensões do fenômeno a ser estudado; principalmente quando o estudo envolve família

Abstract:
This essay aims to present data and reflect about the results of researches conducted in Brazil, England, Portugal and other countries concerning on the factors associated with the performance and drop out of students of popular classes. These results were obtained by reviewing the literature. The text discusses the consequences of this phenomenon, which occurs worldwide, although in differentiated indexes, but that has negative repercussions, both in the personal / individual scope and in the social sphere. The author wants to retake and socialize knowledge built by national and international researchers, involving the triad: Family-Teaching-School. The surveys performed, which will be mentioned here, focused on identifying which family, individual and school factors are correlated with the performance and dropout rate of students from popular classes.(RUMBERGER; LIM, 2008 apud SOARES et al, 2015); (VASCONCELOS, 2003). In this opportunity, it is also considered relevant to present a comparative analysis of the data pointed out in Brazil and Portugal, about the phenomenon in question. This essay contains information about the author's identity, highlighting family and professional experiences, which contributed to the construction of her object of study and admission to the Doctorate- Postgraduate Program in Family at the Contemporary Society of the Catholic University of Salvador. The author comments about the research methodology, she considers most appropriate to the social Science Highlighting the importance of the bioecological approach to human development, (BRONFENBRENNER, 1979, 1996, apud KOLLER, 2010) for enabling a systemic investigation, capable of simultaneously contemplating several dimensions of the phenomenon to be studied; especially when the study involves family. Discusses the theoretical categories pertinent to their research, highlighting the characteristics of Contemporary Society and the new family structures and configurations specific to modern society, which emerged as a result of the historical-social process itself. (PETZOL, 1996 apud GOMES, 2015). It also emphasizes the consequences of such changes for the conviviality and the construction of different forms of interpersonal relationships; both within the family and in the social sphere. It refers to the specific theorists and scholars of the topic under study and ratifies the importance and permanence of the family as an essential locus for human formation (PEIXOTO; CICCHELLI, 2000 apud ENGELMANN; PETRINI, 20016). Finally, it analyzes the presented discussion, emphasizing the comparative analysis of data obtained about school dropout in Brazil and Portugal. It is hoped that this article may contribute to the expansion of readers' knowledge and to mobilize new research about the importance of the family, for the formation of citizens of the world and for society; Regardless of its structure and configuration.
