FATORES ASSOCIADOS À VIOLÊNCIA FÍSICA GRAVE EM CRIANÇAS: UMA AMOSTRAGEM NACIONAL
O objetivo foi analisar os fatores associados à violência em crianças utilizando dados secundários do Sistema VIVA Inquérito. Estudo epidemiológico transversal. As análises tiveram como base um modelo teórico conceitual com três níveis de hierarquia, no distal foram estudadas vaiáveis sociodemográficas, no intermediário, características da agressão e no proximal, lesões deixadas pela violência. As variáveis selecionadas para compor o modelo multivariado foram as que apresentaram nível de significância <0,20, aplicando-se o teste de Wald. Dentre os fatores mais fortemente associados a violência destacam-se: morar na região norte do; local da ocorrência área de recreação, via pública e residência; tipo da lesão contusa; parte do corpo atingido tórax/ dorso/ abdomem/ quadril, cabeça e pescoço. A violência continua um importante problema de saúde pública, conforme revelaram os dados do Inquérito Nacional. Chamam a atenção os elevados números relacionados ao tipo de lesão e a região do corpo afetada, ambos potencialmente letais.

Abstract:
The objective was to analyze the factors associated with violence in children using secondary data from the VIVA Inquérito System. Cross-sectional epidemiological study. The analyzes were based on a conceptual theoretical model with three levels of hierarchy, in the distal sociodemographic variables were studied, in the intermediate, characteristics of aggression and in the proximal, injuries left by violence. The variables selected to compose the multivariate model were those with a significance level <0.20, applying the Wald test. Among the factors most strongly associated with violence, the following stand out: living in the northern region; place of occurrence recreation area, public road and residence; type of blunt injury; body part hit chest / back / abdomen / hip, head and neck. Violence remains a major public health problem, as data from the National Survey revealed. The high numbers related to the type of injury and the affected body region are noteworthy, both potentially lethal.
