FAMÍLIAS, FRONTEIRAS E PERSONAGENS NO ROMANCE NATURALISTA
Neste capítulo abordaremos os conceitos de famílias, fronteiras e personagens a partir do romance naturalista 'O Cortiço' (1890) de Aluísio de Azevedo. Nosso objetivo é explorar as interlocuções entre os três conceitos através da análise das personagens e suas trajetórias na narrativa. A metodologia envolve a história social das ideias associada a alguns aspectos da teoria da narrativa, ao relacionar perfil social - perfil literário, suas possibilidades e limitações. Abstract:
In this chapter we will approach the concepts of families, borders and characters from the naturalist novel 'O Cortiço' (1890) by Aluísio de Azevedo. Our objective is to explore the interlocutions between the three concepts through the analysis of the characters and their trajectories in the narrative. The methodology involves the social history of ideas associated with some aspects of narrative theory, by relating social profile - literary profile and its possibilities and limitations. Therefore, the relationship between history and literature is explored through the contradictions and challenges faced by the characters in Azevedo´s novel.
