EXTENSÃO UNIVERSITÁRIA E AS CONTRIBUIÇÕES DO CURSO PROESDE NA UNISUL
A Universidade do Sul de Santa
Catarina - UNISUL, universidade essencialmente
comunitária, é uma instituição educacional
orientada para a produção, desenvolvimento
e difusão do conhecimento, por intermédio
da pesquisa, do ensino e da extensão, em
todos os níveis e áreas de conhecimento, nas
modalidades presencial e a distância. Apresenta
como finalidade formar integralmente e ao longo
da vida, cidadãos competentes, comprometidos
com o desenvolvimento da ciência, da tecnologia
e da inovação, contribuindo para a melhoria da
vida em sociedade. O PROESDE, modalidade
Desenvolvimento Regional, contribui para o
alcance de tais objetivos na medida em que
apresenta em seu escopo metodologias que
realizam leituras dos indicadores sociais de
Santa Catarina para, seguidamente, propor
e aplicar projetos que possam contribuir
com os anseios das comunidades das áreas
abrangentes dos municípios que compõem
as Agências de Estado de Desenvolvimento
Regional de Santa Catarina.

Abstract:
The University of Southern Santa
Catarina - UNISUL, an essentially community
university, is an educational institution oriented
to the production, development and diffusion
of knowledge, through research, teaching and
extension, at all levels and areas of knowledge,
in face-to-face and at distance. It aims to form
integrally and throughout the life, competent
citizens, committed to the development of
science, technology and innovation, contributing
to the improvement of life in society. PROESDE,
a Regional Development modality, contributes
to the achievement of these objectives insofar
as it presents in its scope methodologies that carry out readings of the social indicators
of Santa Catarina, and then propose and apply projects that can contribute to the
aspirations of the communities in the areas municipalities that make up the State
Development Agencies of Santa Catarina.
