EXPOSIÇÕES EM BIBLIOTECAS PÚBLICAS: PRÁTICAS NA REGIÃO NORTE DO BRASIL
O trabalho tem como objetivo contribuir teórica e empiricamente para a compreensão das exposições em bibliotecas públicas. A pesquisa é classificada como quali-quantitativa e recolheu dados entre junho e dezembro de 2020, utilizando questionário online enviado a sete bibliotecas públicas localizadas da Região Norte. Obteve-se o retorno da biblioteca pública do estado do Amazonas (AM), do Pará (PA) e de Rondônia (RO). O estudo mostra que as bibliotecas públicas respondentes realizam exposições utilizando o próprio acervo, com abertura para trabalhos dos artistas locais, privilegiando a modalidade física, impactada em 2020 pela pandemia global de Covid-19. As exposições são planejadas e executadas por bibliotecários, por historiadores, por profissionais de outros órgãos públicos ou por contratação temporária de outros profissionais, de acordo com as peculiaridades de cada biblioteca. Por sua vez, as exposições virtuais têm sido reprimidas pela falta de equipe técnica na área de tecnologia da informação ou pela indisponibilidade de sítio próprio na Internet. De modo geral, as bibliotecas públicas reconhecem o papel das exposições para o acesso à informação e à cultura, o que as têm motivado a promover ações do gênero

Abstract:
This paper aims to contribute theoretically and empirically for understanding of exhibitions in public libraries. The search is classified as qualitative and quantitative. The collection the was data between June and December of 2020 using an online questionnaire sent to seven public libraries located in the Northern Region of the country. The return obtained from the public library of the Amazonas (AM), Pará (PA) and Rondônia (RO) state. The study shows that respondent public libraries hold exhibitions using their own collection, opening up to works by local artists, privileging the face-to-face modality, impacted in 2020 by the global pandemic of Covid-19. The exhibitions are planned and carried out by librarians, historians, professionals from other public bodies or by temporary hiring of other professionals, according to the peculiarities of each library. In other hand, virtual exhibitions have been suppressed by the lack of technical staff in the area of information technology or by the unavailability of its own website. In general, public libraries recognize the role of exhibitions for access to information and culture, which has motivated them to regularly promote actions of this kind
