Abstract: The sensory system is a set of organs that capture information from the external and internal environment of the human body. It is composed of five senses: vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. The relationship between vision problems and learning is profound and impactful. The ability to read and understand texts is fundamental in education. Vision problems such as myopia, hyperopia, glaucoma, among others, can make reading printed texts difficult, rendering reading ineffective. Through a didactic sequence linked to investigative teaching, the project aims to provide an understanding of vision problems and their relationship with learning difficulties, promoting skills such as collaboration, communication, and teamwork during the creation process of all school activities. Furthermore, it aims to raise awareness among students about the importance of early detection of vision problems and possible measures to be taken. In this context, the project "Exploring the Sensory System: A Didactic Sequence" emerges as a valuable initiative, involving students in the conception of practical tools to evaluate vision.
