Inúmeras pesquisas têm constatado

a exclusão da geometria dos currículos

escolares ou seu tratamento inadequado por

parte do professor em sala de aula. No entanto,

a geometria apresenta-se como um campo

profícuo para o desenvolvimento da “capacidade

de abstrair, generalizar, projetar, transcender

o que é imediatamente sensível”, oferecendo

condições para que níveis sucessivos de

abstração possam ser alcançados. Tendo

isso em mente, o presente texto apresenta

a fundamentação inicial e a estrutura de uma

pesquisa cujo objetivo é produzir material

destinado ao ensino das Capacidades

Espaciais em Geometria para a Educação

Infantil e anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental,

com vistas à melhoria na aprendizagem deste

eixo da Matemática, um projeto que tem como

público alvo, educadores, professores e alunos

da Educação Infantil e dos anos iniciais do

Ensino Fundamental. Tem como metodologia a

Engenharia Didática e com relação à abordagem

didática das atividades, este projeto considera

os níveis para a construção dos conhecimentos

geométricos estabelecidos por Van Hiele.

Abstract:
Numerous studies have found

the exclusion of the geometry in the curriculum

or inadequately treated by the teacher in the

classroom. However, the geometry appears as

a fruitful field for the development of the “ability

to abstract, generalize, design, transcend

what is immediately responsive,” providing

conditions for successive levels of abstraction

can be achieved. With this in mind, this article

presents the initial rationale and structure of

a study conducted to produce material for the

teaching of Spatial skills in geometry for early

childhood education and early years of primary

school, in order to improve the learning of

this axis Mathematics, a project that targets

public, educators, teachers and students of

early childhood education and early years of

elementary school. Its methodology Didactic

Engineering and with respect to the didactic

approach of activities, this project considers

the levels for the construction of geometrical

knowledge established by Van Hiele.
