Abstract: This research aims to reflect on the importance of playfulness and musicality as teaching-learning resources in Early Childhood Education. For a long time, playfulness was considered just a game or distraction for children, a view that, unfortunately, still persists in some educational institutions. However, there is a need for a solid theoretical foundation for working with playfulness in the classroom. Planning the use of games in the educational process is extremely important, as it contributes to the cognitive, affective, physical and social development of children. Musical Education, in turn, allows children to express themselves through speech, stimulating individual expression and facilitating the acquisition of reading and writing skills. Music provides children with the experience of playfulness, promoting their intellectual and emotional development, in addition to teaching them to express their opinions, knowledge and feelings. Carrying out this research is justified by the importance of working with music in the classroom and the need to reflect on the pedagogical intentionality used in this context.
