Abstract: With the advancement of new technologies and the use of artificial intelligence, the professional profile of future Civil Engineers needs to be constantly evolving and include new skills and competencies. It is no longer enough to just have in-depth technical knowledge; It is also necessary to add creativity experiences, the ability to find different solutions to different problems, teamwork, negotiation and time management to your CV, as well as a constructive mindset adapted to living with these new technologies. The search for these skills and experience within IFMaker CMC motivated the study presented in this article, with the main objective of demonstrating and promoting awareness of the gains using active methodologies in the maker space at IFAM Campus Manaus Centro and their applicability in the training of future engineers. To achieve this, the methodology adopted is based on bibliographic research in scientific articles, dissertations and books about the use of maker culture (active methodology) as a pedagogical tool, which has been growing exponentially, mainly in educational use for training new professionals. It is worth mentioning that the present study also aims to point out ways for the inclusion of maker culture through workshops or development of research projects, in the teaching-learning process of the Civil Engineering course at IFAM Campus Manaus Centro.
