Abstract: This study analyzes subjective experiences involved in the production of mental health care within medical education. Based on a qualitative approach and grounded in cartographic methodology, the research integrates data from interviews and the DASS-21 scale, understood as devices for accessing the intensities that traverse the training process. The theoretical framework draws on Foucault, Deleuze, Guattari, and Birman, enabling the understanding of medical education as a dispositif for the production of subjectivity. The analysis is organized around the notions of body-territory, desire, and assemblages, highlighting how experiences of suffering, tension, and care are inscribed in students’ bodies. The results indicate the presence of intense affective modulations, expressed in significant levels of anxiety, stress, and depression, articulated with institutional conditions and relational dynamics in daily training. It is shown that mental health care is produced amid tensions between technique and sensitivity, and may either be captured by normative logics or open to the creation of more engaged practices. It is concluded that medical education constitutes a strategic field for the production of subjectivity, with potential for transforming ways of caring.
