EXCURSÕES GEOGRÁFICAS NA CIDADE DE CAMPINA GRANDE-PB: trajetórias para a construção de uma consciência espacial e política
A construção do Brasil que
queremos perpassa a construção de uma nova
consciência espacial e política. Apresentase aqui uma reflexão introdutória acerca
da pesquisa do Mestrado em Geografia
desenvolvida na Universidade Federal da
Paraíba (UFPB) na linha Educação Geográfica
em consonância com a atividade do Estágio
Docência. A problemática é a seguinte: qual
o potencial geográfico-educativo da cidade
no tocante a construção de uma consciência
espacial e política? Se a cidade é o espaço
político por excelência podemos repensar
esta nossa condição política sem revermos
nossas práticas espaciais na cidade? Como
as excursões geográficas podem contribuir na
compreensão da cidade? Não podemos pensar
na construção de um novo Brasil sem levarmos
em consideração as práticas espaciais que se
perfazem no lugar de ação dos sujeitos. Este
lugar privilegiado entendemos ser a cidade em
sua dinâmica sócio-espacial que lhe dá vida.
Propõe-se a excursão geográfica como prática
espacial geográfico-educativa articuladora
de um sentido político da cidade. Trajetos,
imagens, diálogos e olhares, juntos, numa
costura, formam o tecido que dá sentido político
à cidade. Estas excursões foram realizadas
no centro histórico (comercial) da cidade de
Campina Grande na Paraíba.

Abstract:
The construction of Brazil that
we want perpasses the construction of a new
spatial and political consciousness. We present
here an introductory reflection on the research
of the Master’s Degree in Geography developed
at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) in
the Geographic Education line in line with the
activity of the Teaching Internship. The problem
is: what is the geographic-educational potential
of the city in terms of building a spatial and
political consciousness? If the city is the political
space par excellence can we rethink our political
condition without reviewing our space practices
in the city? How can geographic excursions
contribute to understanding the city? We can not
think of the construction of a new Brazil without
taking into account the space practices that
take place in the place of action of the subjects.
This privileged place we understand to be the
city in its socio-spatial dynamic that gives it life. Geographic excursion is proposed as
geographic-educative space practice articulating a political sense of the city. Paths,
images, dialogues and looks, together, in a seam, form the fabric that gives political
meaning to the city. These excursions were carried out in the historic (commercial)
center of the city of Campina Grande in Paraíba.
