• Abstract: Multiple sclerosis can be controlled by the continuous use of disease-modifying therapies. The multiplicity of drugs approved for the treatment of this condition has allowed flexibility in the indication of the best therapeutic option, so that continually evaluating the risk-benefit ratio of these therapies is fundamental to the management of the disease. The aim of this paper is to address aspects of safety, effectiveness and adherence to disease-modifying therapy for multiple sclerosis. Real-world data contributes to the generation of evidence and health policies formulation.
