adversários do presidente Donald Trump contra
mundiais e estadonidenses ajudam a construir
representações identitárias capazes de elaborar
discursos que dão novos sentidos às várias
formas de silêncio. (Orlandi, 2007).

Abstract:
The objective of this article is to
highlight the discursive strategies used by
President Donald Trump’s opponents against
the continuation of the US “zero tolerance
policy”, based on the separation between “illegal
immigrants” and their children, held in cages and
/ or prisons, without possibility of contact with
their parents or guardians. From the theorists
such as Pêcheux (In: Gadet and Hak, 2014)
and Orlandi (2003) and (2007), it is intended to
identify and describe what stands out and what
is obscured in these discourses full of silences.
This article also aims to reflect how the founding
discourses of the world and the United States
help to construct representations capable of
elaborating discourses that give new meanings
to the various forms of silence. (Orlandi, 2007).
