ÉTICA E NARRATIVA NO JOGO DIGITAL DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o jogo Detroit: Become Human (Buhl, 2018) pelo viés da ética e da narrativa, realizando um apanhado das questões morais e os dilemas éticos presentes na narrativa interativa. Os resultados obtidos forneceram aspectos significativos sobre como as escolhas dos jogadores influenciam a história e como a interatividade pode criar conexões únicas entre jogador e personagens. Concluímos que, pelo entrelaçamento das vozes dos personagens, das escolhas morais e das tramas não lineares, os jogos digitais se tornam um espaço fértil para reflexões sobre a natureza humana, a ética e os valores socioculturais.

  • Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyze the game Detroit: Become Human (Buhl, 2018) through the lens of ethics and narrative, taking stock of the moral issues and ethical dilemmas present in the interactive narrative. The results obtained provided significant insights into how players' choices influence the story and how interactivity can create unique connections between player and characters. We conclude that by interweaving the characters' voices, moral choices and non-linear plots, digital games become a fertile space for reflections on human nature, ethics and socio-cultural values.
