ESTUDOS HIDROGEOAMBIENTAIS NUMA REGIÃO DO INTERIOR DE PORTUGAL PARA POTENCIALIZAR O NASCIMENTO DE UMAS NOVAS TERMAS
No presente trabalho há o objetivo de mostrar que há potencial para explorar água subterrânea especial, com caraterísticas para vir a ser classificada como água mineral natural, para o termalismo, numa região do interior-norte de Portugal, região da Vila de Tabuaço. Assim, naquele sentido, após uma breve introdução sobre a importância do termalismo para o desenvolvimento económico local de regiões com baixa densidade populacional, apresentam-se os elementos geomorfológicos, geológicos e hidrogeoambientais daquela região. Com a noção de que são estudos iniciais, devendo os mesmos ser encarados como uma contribuição, salienta-se que, como resultados globais, a região em estudo apresenta dois setores com potencial a explorar água subterrânea do tipo sulfúrea: o setor da Ponte do Fumo e o setor de São Torcato. Por fim, apresentam-se algumas notas finais, no sentido de enfatizar a possibilidade de harmonizar os potenciais novos equipamentos para termalismo, com o potencial turístico da região que é património mundial da UNESCO, o Alto Douro Vinhateiro.

Abstract:
In the present work, the objective is to show that there is potential to explore special groundwater, with characteristics to be classified as natural mineral water, for thermalism, in a region of the interior-north of Portugal, region of the village of Tabuaço. So, in that sense, after a brief introduction on the importance of thermalism for the local economic development of regions with low population density, the geomorphological, geological and hydrogeoenvironmental elements of that region are presented. With the notion that these works are initial studies, and should be seen as a contribution, it is emphasized that, as a global result, the region under study presents two sectors with potential to exploit groundwater of the sulphureous type: the Ponte do Fumo sector and the São Torcato sector. Finally, some final notes are presented, in order to emphasize the possibility of harmonizing the potential new equipment for thermalism, with the tourist potential of the region that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Alto Douro wine region.
