ESTUDO DO USO DE RESÍDUOS DE CONSTRUÇÃO E DEMOLIÇÃO (RCD) DE MACEIÓ, COMO AGREGADO RECICLADO EM ARGAMASSAS DE REVESTIMENTO E ASSENTAMENTO
Um dos maiores responsáveis pela extração e consumo dos recursos naturais é o setor de construção civil. Na mesma proporção, é também um dos que principalmente respondem pela geração de resíduos sólidos, sendo os de construção e demolição (C&D) os mais significativos. A reciclagem é um caminho indispensável a médio e longo prazo. Fazer a inserção destes rejeitos na cadeia produtiva da construção civil é uma solução para a minimização do volume de entulho gerado, além do fato que o seu reaproveitamento é uma medida viável para a redução de custos. Contudo, o resíduo de construção e demolição (RCD) varia de acordo com a cultura e necessidade de cada região, fato que implica quanto a possível viabilidade em seu reaproveitamento e, por consequência, reciclagem. Então, foi questionado se o RCD gerado em Maceió possui viabilidade, potencial e funcional, quanto ao seu uso como agregados reciclados em argamassas de revestimento e assentamento. A resposta foi dada mediante análise da composição gravimétrica de quatro amostras coletadas de entulho em distintos bairros da cidade, comprovando a sua aptidão para o uso proposto. Posteriormente, realizou-se buscas por estudos que avaliaram o comportamento das argamassas de revestimento e assentamento que utilizam agregados de RCD em sua composição. Comprovou-se então a sua viabilidade técnica e ambiental, sendo essa uma excelente alternativa para a reutilização do RCD.

Abstract:
One of the major responsible for the extraction and consumption of natural resources is the construction sector. In the same proportion, it is also one of those that mainly respond for the generation of solid residues, being those of construction and demolition (C&D) the most significant. Recycling is an indispensable path in the medium and long term. Inserting these wastes into the civil construction productive chain is a solution to minimize the volume of rubbish generated, besides the fact that its reuse is a viable measure for reducing costs. However, the construction and demolition waste (CDW) varies according to the culture and need of each region, which implies the possible feasibility in its reuse and, consequently, recycling. It was then questioned whether the CDW generated in Maceió has potential and functional feasibility for its use as recycled aggregates in coating and settlement mortars. The answer was given by analyzing the gravimetric composition of four samples collected from rubble in different districts of the city, proving their suitability for the proposed use. Afterwards, it was searched the studies that assessed the performance of coating and settlement mortars that use aggregates of construction and demolition residues in their composition. Its technical and environmental viability proved to be an excellent alternative for the reuse of CDW.
