ESTUDO DIAGNÓSTICO E SUA IMPORTÂNCIA PARA IMPLANTAÇÃO DA FITOTERAPIA NO CONTEXTO DA POLÍTICA NACIONAL DE PRÁTICAS INTEGRATIVAS E COMPLEMENTARES (PNPIC): UM ESTUDO DE CASO NO RIO DE JANEIRO (RJ)
O Brasil é um país que possui grande diversidade vegetal, e o uso de plantas medicinais tem aceitação desde os povos antigos e vem sendo passado através de gerações. Desde a criação da Política Nacional de Práticas Integrativas e Complementares (PNPIC) e da Política Nacional de Plantas Medicinais e Fitoterápicos (PNPMF) em 2006, o tema tem sido discutido entre os profissionais de saúde e gestores de órgãos relacionados à saúde, uma vez que a utilização de medicamentos fitoterápicos amplia o acesso à saúde de forma complementar ao tratamento convencional. O presente trabalho visa realizar o estudo situacional para a futura implantação da fitoterapia como prática integrativa em uma unidade de atenção à saúde na cidade do Rio de Janeiro (RJ). O objetivo primordial do presente trabalho é elaborar um estudo diagnóstico em relação à fitoterapia nesse Instituto, conforme a PNPIC e PNPMF. Utilizando-se da análise SWOT, um instrumento de gestão, visa identificar os fatores facilitadores limitantes à implantação, desenvolvendo instrumentos de diagnóstico e indicadores para determinação do estágio de implantação da fitoterapia, indicando assim, pontos de melhoria. Destacam-se como fatores limitantes a falta de conhecimento e interesse sobre a prática; treinamento e capacitação dos profissionais e desconhecimento da eficácia dos medicamentos fitoterápicos; recursos financeiros e, como facilitadores, a presença de práticas integrativas em andamento; apoio da equipe de saúde e gestores para o uso de medicamentos fitoterápicos e para a implementação de programas que incentivem o uso de fitoterápicos. Conclui-se que a capacitação da equipe em Fitoterapia é vital para sua implementação, por meio de materiais informativos, além de cursos acadêmicos. Espera-se que o presente estudo diagnóstico possa contribuir com a consolidação da PNPIC e estudos futuros em outros cenários e realidades do estado e do país.

Abstract:
Brazil has a great diversity of plants, and medicinal plants have been widely accepted by the ancient peoples across generations. Since the creation of the National Policy of Integrative and Complementary Practices (PNPIC) and National Policy of Medicinal Plants and Herbal Medicines (PNPMF) in 2006, the topic has been discussed among health professionals and managers of health-related institutes since the use of herbal medicines expands the access to health in a complementary way to the conventional treatment. The present work aims to survey the status of phytotherapy as an integrative practice in an Institute of Health Care located in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The main objective of the present work is to elaborate a diagnostic study concerning phytotherapy in the Institute. In addition, it aims to evaluate the implementation of phytotherapy according to the NPICP and NPMPH. Using the SWOT Analysis, a management tool seeks to identify the facilitators and the factors that hinder such implantation by developing diagnostic tools and indicators to determine the stage of implantation of phytotherapy, thus indicating improvement points. The main precluding factors are the lack of knowledge and interest regarding such practices, training of health professionals, knowledge about the efficacy of herbal medicines, and financial resources. Positive factors are the previous implementation of other integrative and complementary practices and the support of health staff and managers to implement internal policies towards the use of herbal medicines. The education of health professionals regarding phytotherapy is crucial for its successful course by didactic material and academic courses. We hope that the current study contributes to the consolidation of integrative and complementary practices and further studies with diverse scenarios from the country's different states.
