Abstract: The last Agricultural Census carried out in 2006 showed that 24.3% of Brazilian agricultural properties were occupied by family farming and that they had an average annual income of R$ 13.6 thousand. To assist in the sustainable development of agriculture, the National Program for Strengthening Family Farming (Pronaf) offers support in investments, funding and commercialization of crops, in addition to assisting in investment in machinery and equipment for agro-industries. In this context, the case of a family farmer residing in the rural area of Visconde do Rio Branco (MG) who produces fruits such as mango, guava and passion fruit on his property, and in the future intends to invest in planting soursop, will be analyzed. It is heavily dependent on juice industries present in the region to sell its fruits. This happens because there are many other farmers who also sell fruit to these industries, which generates a large supply and means that they receive the price imposed by them. To avoid this problem, the family farmer intends to invest in the implementation of a fruit pulp agroindustry, adding value to the products and seeking to reduce the loss of fruit due to its perishability. Therefore, to verify the viability and return on investment of the fruit pulp agroindustry, a Technical, Economic and Commercial Feasibility Study (EVTEC) was carried out. Through the analysis of the economic and financial indicators used, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and payback, it was possible to conclude on the feasibility of implementing the agroindustry. When considering three scenarios, pessimistic, realistic and optimistic, the indicators used were positive in each of them, indicating that the agribusiness will provide financial and economic returns for the farmer in any of the situations analyzed.
