ESTUDO DE CASO: DIMENSIONAMENTO DE MICRODRENAGEM PARA UMA REGIÃO DO CENTRO DO MUNICÍPIO DE SÃO LEOPOLDO- RS
O crescimento populacional nas cidades e o consequente aumento das áreas urbanizadas que estão ocorrendo nos últimos anos, vem causando transtornos com as águas pluviais nas mais diversas regiões do mundo. Os alagamentos que ocorrem cada vez mais frequentes, causam diversos problemas sociais e de saúde pública, impactando a vida das pessoas nos grandes centros. Nesse sentido, uma revisão dos projetos dos sistemas de drenagem existentes nas grandes cidades, se torna inevitável frente ao aumento das massas populacionais e as modificações do nosso clima. Essa revisão é necessária para verificar se os atuais sistemas de drenagem executados nessas regiões estão atendendo as demandas ou se existe a possibilidade de redimensioná-los e minimizar os transtornos causados pelas águas da chuva. Assim sendo, o objetivo deste trabalho é verificar os atuais problemas causados pelas águas pluviais no bairro Centro do município de São Leopoldo, dimensionar o sistema de microdrenagem do local e comparar com o atual sistema existente, propondo, por fim, possíveis alternativas frente as verificações e comparações efetuadas.

Abstract:
The population growth in the cities and the consequent increase in urban areas and climate changes that are occurring in recent years, are causing disturbances to the rainwater in most regions of the world. The floodings which are occurring even more frequently, causing many social and public health issues, impacting the lives of people in big cities. In this regard, a reassess on the projects of existing drainage systems in big cities is inevitable in front of the increase in mass population and the changes in our climate. This revision is required to verify if the current drainage systems implemented in these regions are meeting the demands or if it is possible to resize them and diminish possible inconveniences caused by rainwater. Therefore, the objective of this study is to ascertain the current problems caused by rainwater in central district of São Leopoldo, design the micro drainage system and to compare with the current existing system, proposing, finally, possible alternatives in front of the verifications and comparisons conceived.
