• Abstract: A pre-mix dosing system is essential in the industrial production of countless sectors of industry, from the food industry to pharmacology. This system guarantees precision in the combination of previously dosed ingredients, such as vitamins, minerals and additives. Premixing involves the advance preparation of micro-ingredients that are incorporated in small quantities, ensuring that the final product meets requirements down to the smallest detail. The main benefits include precision and consistency, which are fundamental to guaranteeing the nutritional quality of the food. It also improves food safety by preventing cross-contamination. In the specific application for pet food, this system allows the production of balanced food with the exact mix of essential nutrients, as well as enabling functional feeds with ingredients that promote benefits such as digestive and immune health. Special diets for animals with specific conditions, such as allergies or health problems, also benefit from the precision provided by pre-mixing, ensuring that the food is safe and suitable for animal consumption. In view of the above, the purpose of this work is to present and conceptualize an improvement to an existing system that will be analysed in the course of this article. As a result, it is hoped to obtain a model that aims to remedy and/or mitigate the problems arising from the current process.
