ESTUDO DE CASO CLÍNICO DIABETES MELLITUS
A discussão do caso é fundamentada em torno do caso clínico de um senhor idoso, agricultor, fumante desde os 14 anos de idade e com diagnóstico de diabetes mellitus há 10 anos. Foi ao Posto de Saúde relatando ter pisado em objeto pontiagudo, porém não sentiu dor e não houve sangramento. Ao exame físico apresentava lesão punctiforme na região plantar do ante pé, hiperemia e edema em todo o pé, bem como, necrose do hálux. Nesse contexto, o estudo debate a cerca da diabetes não tratada, da qualidade de vida dos pacientes e da importância do acompanhamento da equipe multidisciplinar.

Abstract:
The case discussion is based on the clinical case of an elderly man, farmer, smoker since he was 14 years old and diagnosed with diabetes mellitus 10 years ago. He went to the Health Center reporting that he stepped on a sharp object, but he felt no pain and there was no bleeding. On physical examination, he had a punctate lesion in the plantar region of the forefoot, hyperemia and edema in the entire foot, as well as hallux necrosis. In this context, the study debates about untreated diabetes, the quality of life of patients and the importance of monitoring the multidisciplinary team.
