ESTUDO DE CASO: ANÁLISE DE DISTRIBUIÇÃO DOS EQUIPAMENTOS PÚBLICOS DE EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL NA PERIFERIA DE NATAL/RN
Embora o crescimento das cidades sejam vistas de forma satisfatória em relação ao crescimento econômico, muitas vezes o lado social deixa a desejar, trazendo problemas para o bem-estar da sociedade. Deste modo, o presente trabalho objetiva analisar a distribuição dos equipamentos comunitários de educação infantil localizados na periferia da zona norte da cidade de Natal, capital do Rio Grande do Norte, bem como a capacidade de atender de forma adequada a população. Para esta análise utilizou-se dos recursos de geoprocessamento para observar as áreas que atendem ou não por possuírem esses equipamentos, levando em consideração os raios de abrangência regidas por normas e a capacidade máxima que estas unidades suportam. Após a análise dos mapas foi possível identificar a deficiência que esses equipamentos se encontram em relação a sua distribuição na zona analisada, tornando precário a capacidade de atender toda a demanda populacional. Uma solução analisada seria a criação de novas unidades educacionais em locais sem os serviços levando em consideração também um melhor planejamento de crescimento urbano da cidade, visando, a melhoria do raio de abrangência que esses equipamentos atendem.

Abstract:
Although the growth of cities is seen satisfactorily in relation to economic growth, often the social side leaves something to be desired, bringing problems to the well-being of society. Thus, the present work aims to analyze the distribution of community equipment for early childhood education located on the outskirts of the northern zone of the city of Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, as well as the capacity to adequately serve the population. For this analysis, geoprocessing resources were used to observe the areas that serve or not because they have this equipment, considering the coverage radii governed by standards and the maximum capacity that these units support. After the analysis of the maps it was possible to identify the deficiency that these equipments are in relation to their distribution in the analyzed area, making the ability to meet all the population demand precarious. An analyzed solution would be the creation of new educational units in places without services, also considering a better planning of the urban growth of the city, aiming to improve the coverage area that these equipments serve.
