ESTUDO DE CASO: ANÁLISE DA EVOLUÇÃO DO INDICADOR TAXA DE FREQUÊNCIA DE ACIDENTES DE TRABALHO EM UMA EMPRESA DE MOLDURAS DE MADEIRA E SUA RELAÇÃO COM A MUDANÇA NA CULTURA DE SAÚDE E SEGURANÇA DO TRABALHO
Mesmo com diversas leis e normas regulamentadoras que visam a segurança dos
trabalhadores, o número de acidentes de trabalho no Brasil ainda é um dos maiores
do mundo. Quando analisada a indústria madeireira, diversas são as fontes
geradoras e partes do corpo afetadas e, além do número elevado, a gravidade dos
acidentes também é preocupante. Dessa forma, o objetivo do presente trabalho
consistiu em analisar a evolução do indicador taxa de frequência de acidentes de
trabalho entre 2018 e 2022 de uma indústria fabricante de molduras de madeira,
relacionando os resultados com medidas tomadas pela empresa na prevenção de
acidentes. Para isso, foi realizado um estudo de caso, utilizando informações da
empresa e observações no próprio local e o indicador utilizado para as análises foi a
taxa de frequência de acidentes totais, considerando acidentes com e sem
afastamento e primeiros socorros. Por meio dos dados analisados, notou-se uma
redução de 80% na taxa de frequência de acidentes comparando os dados de 2018
até 2022, mostrando que a empresa realmente passou por uma mudança na sua
cultura de saúde e segurança do trabalho a partir de 2019, a qual passou pela
liderança e seu comprometimento com o tópico, aumento da visibilidade e
comunicação sobre segurança e programas e práticas de saúde e segurança do
trabalho, partindo do tripé CHA, evidenciando a importância em tornar esse tópico
um valor dentro da empresa.

Abstract:
Even with several laws and regulatory standards aimed at the safety of workers, the
number of accidents at work in Brazil is still one of the highest in the world. When
analyzing the wood industry, there are several generating sources and affected body
parts and, in addition to the high number, the severity of accidents is also worrying.
Thus, the aim of the present work was to analyze the evolution of the frequency of
accidents at work indicator between 2018 and 2022 of an industry that manufactures
wooden frames, relating the results with measures taken by the company to prevent
accidents. For this, a case study was carried out, using company information and on-
site observations, and the indicator used for the analyzes was the total accident
frequency rate, considering accidents with and without leave and first aid. Through
the analyzed data, there was 80% reduction in the accident frequency rate comparing
data from 2018 to 2022, showing that the company really underwent a change in its
culture of health and safety at work since 2019, which included leadership and its
commitment to the topic, increased visibility and communication about safety and
programs and practices for health and safety at work, based on the KSA triangle of
success, highlighting the importance of making this topic a value within the company.
