Abstract: In this present article, we developed, characterized and analyzed a microstrip antenna with polar geometry based on botanist Johan Gielis' equation. Projection and analysis were carried out using commercial software, Ansys Designer®. For this, a microstrip antenna was built that worked in a frequency range of 2.48 GHz, a value very close to the proposed one (2.45 GHz), where the methodology used was quantitative. Our construction method is artisanal and consisted of cutting an FR-4 type copper circuit board using a small guillotine, with dimensions that fit the simulated antenna. We stick the regions that will not corrode on the circuit board. Plate corrosion occurs with iron perchloride acid. After corrosion, we solder the 50 Ω SMA connector so that the antenna is powered by electrical voltage. In the experimental measurement, we use a mini vector network analyzer to analyze the response of the return loss coefficient. We carried out a comparison between the numerical return coefficient and the experimentally measured one, where we understand that the similarity between them means that the construction process was carried out with great skill. The mine vector network analyzer scans between frequencies from 0.1 to 4 GHz.
