Abstract: Today the Brazil is going through a period of population growth. The increase in the number of new homes and consumption of electricity is directly related to this growth. Regions where this increase is greatest are the north and northeast of the country. In recent years, Brazilians have come across the terms yellow and red tariff flag on their electricity bills, which are fees related to the generation of electrical energy. Climatic factors such as lack of rainfall can directly affect the cost of energy generation. In Brazil, the geographic position and the climate are factors that privilege the generation of energy hydroelectric. Recent research by ONS-BR shows that the biggest villain in consumption of electricity in a home is the eletric shower, consuming around 25% of energy demand or up to 13% of eletric energy during peak hours, between 6 pm and 10 pm. However, there are still regions that do not have electricity, where are using burn of petroleum and sugarcane derivatives. In the context of solutions to increase energy supply, the viability of using clean renewable energy is now widely questioned and seen as an alternative to diversify the energy matrix, reducing dependence on rainfall, to sustain the country's growth and serve areas where energy is produced by burning petroleum derivatives and sugarcane.
