Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic brought changes in society's behavior, with the suspension of several activities, including children's access to schools. This study's objective is to analyze the spaces of the Proinfância daycare center to meet environmental comfort, size and health, considering the set of issues brought about by the pandemic . To achieve this aim, analyzes were carried out on the Proinfância Standard Type C Project and on an established building chosen as a case study: the Municipal Early Childhood Education Unit Prof. Júlia Maria de Almeida Oliveira, in the city of Lagarto, Sergipe. The secondary objectives are: to analyze the specificities of the implementation of the standard building in Lagarto and to analyze the post-occupancy condition after the Covid-19 pandemic. The methodological approach is qualitative, applied to documents available on the Proinfância website and complemented by a case study, which uses techniques and procedures like APO (Post-Occupancy Assessment) methodology, selecting the universe of tools to be applied. They are: walkthrough, to evaluate the performance of the built environment, obtaining data from users through a conducted visit; interviews and questionnaires; data obtained and recorded in drawings, through on-site observation carried out by the researcher. In addition to the analysis of the building and its implementation, the research includes the study of the internal layout recorded in the Proinfância standard project and the actual use and adaptation of the spaces in the daycare center visited. In the final considerations, the aspects presented in the evaluation sheets are addressed, with notes and suggestions for essential topics for the adaptation of the building of the Prof.ª Júlia Maria de Almeida Oliveira School Unit, which could, in an expanded discussion in the future, contribute to updating the Type C standard project of the Proinfância Program.
