Abstract: The main phytosanitary problem in citrus production currently is the HLB disease. Two to four years after the start of infection, all trees in the orchards can be infected, although symptom expression may occur over many years. This study aimed to highlight the techniques used for HLB control in citrus cultivation in Brazil. A review of the state of the art on recommended management techniques for HLB control was conducted. It was observed that the use of healthy seedlings, proper crop management, and vector control reduce pathogen incidence, but genetic improvement work is still needed to develop resistant plants.
