Abstract: The internationalization of companies is a crucial phenomenon for global economic development, intensified by information and transportation technologies. This article explores the strategies and challenges faced by companies as they expand their operations beyond national borders. It analyzes approaches such as export, licensing, franchising, joint ventures, and foreign direct investment (FDI). Through a bibliographic analysis, the role of government policies, cultural adaptation, supply chain management, and regulatory nuances are examined. Success examples, such as China, are discussed to illustrate the importance of a proactive strategy and government support. Additionally, the impact of digital and emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and data analytics, which offer new opportunities for internationalization, is highlighted. The final considerations emphasize the need for adaptation, innovation, and an aggressive stance for global competitiveness, suggesting future research on the impact of digital technologies on internationalization.
