ESTRATÉGIAS DE POLIDEZ LINGUÍSTICA NO DISCURSO POLÍTICO DE CANDITADOS A PREFEITOS DO MUNICÍPIO DE MOCAJUBA-PA
A presente pesquisa é um estudo
sobre as estratégias de polidez linguística no
discurso político de candidatos a prefeitos do
município de Mocajuba. Objetivamos analisar
as formulações discursivas interacionais entre
candidatos e eleitores, nos comícios públicos.
Desdobramo-nos sobre duas diferentes
áreas do conhecimento - a Pragmática e a
Sociolinguística interacional -, tomamos por
base a teoria de polidez linguística de Brown
e Levinson (1987), as postulações de face de
Goffman (1967), observamos os postulados de
Watts (2003) e Kerbrat-Orecchioni (2006). A
averiguação do discurso político no cenário dos
comícios públicos é relevante porque evidencia
a relação deste com as estratégias de polidez.
Quanto à metodologia, optamos pela de caráter
qualitativa. Os sujeitos da pesquisa são os
candidatos a prefeito do Município de Mocajuba,
buscam usar várias estratégias de polidez na
tentativa de elevação da sua própria face como
argumentos capazes de estabelecer harmonia
na interação. Concluímos que as estratégias
aderidas pelos candidatos nos discursos
configuram um quadro hierárquico em que
as estratégias de polidez positivas ficam em
primeiro lugar, seguidas pelas estratégias de
polidez indiretas, enquanto que às de polidez
negativa foram pouquíssimas empregadas
pelos sujeitos no discurso político.

Abstract:
The present research is a study
on the strategies of linguistic politeness in the
political discourse of candidates for mayors
of the municipality of Mocajuba. We aim to
analyze the interactive discursive formulations
between candidates and voters, in public
rallies. We analyse with two different areas -
Pragmatics and interactional sociolinguistics
-, based on the linguistic politeness theory of
Brown and Levinson (1987), the Goffman’s face
theories (1967), we observe the postulates of
Watts (2003) and Kerbrat-Orecchioni (2006).
The investigation of the political discourse in the
scenario of the public rallies is relevant because
it shows the relation of this with the strategies of
polity. As methodology, we chose the qualitative
one. The research subjects are candidates for
mayor of the Municipality of Mocajuba, they seek to use various politeness strategies
in the attempt to elevate their own face as arguments capable of establishing harmony
in the interaction. We conclude that the strategies used to by the candidates in the
speeches constitute a hierarchical framework in which positive politeness strategies
come first, followed by indirect politeness strategies, while those of negative politeness
were very few employed by the subjects in the political discourse.
