Abstract: In recent years, the incidence of rabies in Brazil has undergone a significant change. The reduction was only possible due to vaccination campaigns that demonstrated their effectiveness, as well as the prophylactic measures developed. Caused by the Lyssavirus, belonging to the Rhabdoviridae family, rabies is an infectious disease that affects the central nervous system of its hosts, with a cosmopolitan occurrence that demands importance in One Health. Active Methodologies have the role of encouraging students to leave their comfort zone, taking an active role in the learning process by multiplying knowledge at school and in their homes. The dissemination of informed information is carried out by education and health professionals in schools where the School Health Program (PSE) is implemented. The objective was to address teaching-learning strategies according to the zoonosis rabies for children in the public elementary school system in the municipality of Parelhas in Rio Grande do Norte, with the use of Active Methodologies within the School Health Program, making students multipliers of truthful information. The research was developed between February and August 2024, addressing the zoonosis rabies in the form of a flip chart presentation for 10 classes of elementary school I students, totaling 165 participants, and subsequently requesting the reproduction of the information through playful materials such as modeling clay, for the initial grades, as well as illustrations for more advanced grades of elementary school I. With the execution of the research and evaluation of the collected data, it was observed that the application of the methodology was effective, through the observation of the pieces produced by the students, in their learning about the zoonosis, who will be able to become multipliers of information based on scientific evidence, raising awareness among their families and close friends.
