Abstract: The article has as its theme “cooperation strategies and business alliances, with the objective of analyzing cooperation strategies and business alliances, having as specific objectives: i) to present the concept of alliances; ii) describe alliance formation models; iii) characterize the theories of cooperation. The results reveal that alliances and cooperation serve as an agreement established between different companies, seeking to achieve mutual benefits, they can serve as a combination of skills and use of the know-how of other companies, sharing the burden of carrying out technological research, sharing and developing acquired knowledge, sharing risks and costs and exploring new opportunities by carrying out joint experiences, exerting greater market pressure, increasing competitive strength for the benefit of the customer, sharing resources, strengthening purchasing power and obtaining strength to operations in international markets. It is presented as a relevant topic because of the contribution of the importance that alliances and strategies can play for business success. The association of companies can make them more dynamic in the market.
