Abstract: The present research was conducted in the Fire Departments of Saquisilí and Pujili cantons, with the objective of designing strategies to improve the Quality of Work Life (QWL) through the diagnosis of the current state. The approach used to carry it out was quantitative, employing the survey technique and Gohisalo's Quality of Working Life questionnaire instrument, using a Likert scale from 0 to 4. The instrument was applied to 47 employees from the aforementioned entities. The results in the Fire Department of Pujilí showed that their satisfaction level is at 3/4 in the seven dimensions of Gohisalo's QWL questionnaire, translating to "satisfactory." On the other hand, the results obtained in the Fire Department of Saquisili were 3/4 in 3 out of the 7 dimensions, and in the remaining 4 dimensions, their score was 4/4 on the Likert scale, indicating the highest level of worker satisfaction regarding their QWL. Strategies were proposed aligning with the seven dimensions to improve Quality of Work Life, such as the shadow board or job shadowing method, the Eisenhower matrix, World Café, feedback processes from performance evaluation, training, and a non-monetary recognition plan. The total budget for implementing the QWL improvement strategies in the Fire Departments is $17,065.
