ESTRATÉGIAS DE ASSENTAMENTOS INFORMAIS PARA A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DO USO SUSTENTÁVEL DE TERRA E NA MELHORIA DA QUALIDADE DO AMBIENTE, NO DISTRITO DE MUANZA: CASO DE ESTUDO NA SEDE DISTRITAL, ENTRE 2014 a 2019 – MOÇAMBIQUE
Assentamentos Informais são áreas residenciais onde os moradores não têm segurança de posse com relação à terra, que variam entre ocupações ilegais e locação informal. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo: analisar estratégias de assentamentos informais para a contribuição do uso sustentável de terra e na melhoria da qualidade do ambiente, no distrito de Muanza: caso de estudo na sede distrital, entre 2014 a 2019. Apesar de assentamentos informais, ser uma realidade na sede distrital, os residentes dessas áreas enfrentam problemas de saneamento do meio e falta de equipamentos sociais, para fazerem face às suas necessidades quotidianas. Para o efeito, surgiu como questão norteadora: até que ponto as Estratégias de Assentamentos Informais nos bairros da Sede distrital de Muanza, podem contribuir para o uso sustentável de terra e na melhoria de qualidade do ambiente? O estudo utilizou uma abordagem qualitativa, uma Técnica de amostragem não probabilística (por conveniência). Os dados foram recolhidos por meio de entrevista semi-estruturada, observação participante, e análise documental. Os resultados indicaram, que há falta de acompanhamento na ocupação dos espaços a nível dos bairros. O desemprego e o baixo nível de escolaridade, também contribuem para a existência dos problemas de assentamentos informais na área em estudo

Abstract:
Informal Settlements are residential areas where the residents do not have security of tenure in relation to the land that vary between illegal occupations and informal leasing. This research aimed to: Analyze informal settlement strategies for the contribution of sustainable land use and improvement of the quality of the environment, in the district of Muanza: case study at the district headquarters, between 2014 and 2019. Despite informal settlements, being a reality at the district headquarters, residents of these areas face problems with sanitation and lack of social facilities to make their daily needs easy. For this purpose, the guiding question arises: To what extent can the Strategies for Informal Settlements in the districts of the district headquarters of Muanza, contribute to the sustainable use of land and the improvement of the quality of the environment? The study used a qualitative approach, a non-probabilistic sampling technique (for convenience). The data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, the study analyzed informal settlement strategies at the district headquarters in Muanza from 2014 to 2019. The results indicated that there is a lack of monitoring in the occupation of spaces at the neighborhood level, unemployment and low level of education; also contribute to the existence of problems of informal settlements in the area under study
